Parking & Transportation
Parking and Transportation near the RDC:
Please visit the Colorado State University Parking and Transportation Services website for alerts and detailed up-to-date parking information for CSU students, employees, and visitors.
Car parking suggestions:
- Please be sure to check the CSU Parking and Transportation Services websitefor updates, alerts, and current parking restrictions. Parking is monitored closely and vehicles found to be violating parking regulations will be ticketed and / or towed.
- The Lake Street Garage at Lake Street and Center Avenue is the closest parking garage to the RDC with non-permit hourly parking. More information about the garage including space availability status can be found on the CSU Parking and Transportation Service's Live Parking Garage Status web page. Walking from the Lake Street Garage to the RDC takes about 3-5 minutes.
- Pay-to-park spaces are also available in the Morgan Library lot at the end of Meridian and Hughes Way. Pay to park costs about $2 per hour. Walking from the Morgan Library lot takes about 5-8 minutes.
- Two-hour street parking may also be available on Lake and Whitcomb.
- Limed metered parking is also available on the north side of the Canvas Football Stadium.
- Conditional Parking: With the exception of parking restrictions during CSU Game Days and university holidays, free parking may be available at certain times (e.g. weekdays after 4 p.m. and all day on Sundays) in selected lots and spaces around campus marked with letters "A", "X", or "Z" unless otherwise noted. The closest lots with parking after 4p.m. on weekdays (Monday - Friday) are lots 510, 475, and 240 in unlabeled spaces or those marked with letters "A" or "Z". The closest lots with parking on Sundays are lots 510, 473, 475, 240, and 425 in unlabeled spaces or those marked with letters "A", "X", and "Z".
Bus routes:
Bus stop 1590 by the Lake Street garage is the HORN cross-campus shuttle bus stop closest to the RDC. Visit the Fort Collins HORN Bus System website for more information about the HORN shuttle route and time tables. Bicycles, skateboards, and kick scooters:
If you are traveling by bicycle, there a number of bicycle racks can be found to the east and north sides building. Skateboard racks can be found on the outside the building on the north side and by the underpass between the northwest and southwest wings of the building. For safety and accessibility, bicycles, kick scooters, and skateboards are not permitted inside the building. Wheelchairs and medical scooters for individuals with mobility needs are welcome.
